Drawing in the wild and keeping a sketchbook is such important part of the design process.

 

My sketchbooks are not a place for perfection they are a place to experiment, create energy and explore colour and line.

 

Every one of my final designs starts somewhere on paper.

Getting out in the wild to draw live helps me to understand how the subject moves and how it interacts with others and the environment around it. It helps me to understand expression, feeling and movement. Whether that be a tiny human, animal or nature.

I love to set myself drawing challenges, explore new places with my sketchbook with an aim to draw every day.
